Now that the summer season approaches, it's a good time to consider the educational and ensemble opportunities at South Shore Music with our student jams happening every other Saturday.  Also we have an ensemble program called CD Workshop that is run by instructor Bill Egan.  And stay tunes for our next clinic - most likely a drum clinic with a familiar face!...

Gretsch Night Out
American Guitar and Drum Maker’s 125^thAnniversary

Tuesday, August 12^th, 4 to 8 pm

At South Shore Music, 13 Washington Street, Weymouth

President Fred W. Gretsch, direct fourth-generation descendant of company founder Friedrich Gretsch, will be available for media interviews and photographs and will offer attendees a first-hand account of the colorful history of the Gretsch company, followed by a Q&A session and autographs.

The Gretsch 125^th Anniversary Celebration” is a free special event designed to bring local guitarists, drummers and music lovers together while commemorating The Gretsch Company’s 125^th anniversary this year. New, limited edition Gretsch 125^th anniversary guitars as well as drums will be on display and every attendee will receive a free Gretsch gift. World-renowned fingerstyle guitar player Bobby Gibson will perform and a special Gretsch 125^th anniversary video will be screened.

T-shirts, caps and lanyards will be available for sale. Guitars, drums, amps and Gretsch accessories will be priced at special low pricing for the event, and extra inventory will be brought in for the day.
